Welcoming all families We live in the diverse and progressive suburb of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Our neighborhood includes many kinds of families and lots of young children. Our town was the first in the country to establish by vote a domestic partner registration law, and we have registered our relationship at city hall. Our parents live nearby, as does Jen’s oldest sister, her husband and daughter. Jen’s younger sister and niece live near Baltimore, and our brothers live near Chicago -- all are a day’s drive away. Jen’s mom and dad are active in their community and church and are excited about having another grandchild! They took their children to piano lessons, the orchestra and ballet – traditions we will continue with our child.Natalie’s parents are teachers. Her mom just retired from teaching first grade. They emphasized reading, languages and classical music as Natalie and her brother grew up. Both are thrilled to meet their first grandchild, and Natalie’s mom can’t wait to sew some baby clothes and to teach reading once again!
